Has anyone ever had a hen lay her egg in a pond? I was cleaning out my ducks pond today and found an egg in the bottom.

I wouldn't.....duck eggs, from what I've read, even though their shells are harder..... they are more porous. Just my opinion, I wouldn't risk it.Are they safe to eat?

I agree. Although I don’t have research to back up my thoughts, I wouldn’t eat them if they were in the pool.I wouldn't.....duck eggs, from what I've read, even though their shells are harder..... they are more porous. Just my opinion, I wouldn't risk it.
Knowing my luck, I’d try one from the pool and then I’d start pooping just like the ducks do!I wouldn't.....duck eggs, from what I've read, even though their shells are harder..... they are more porous. Just my opinion, I wouldn't risk it.
