When should my hens start laying? They are about 4 months old . We feed them scratch grain and Laying pellets. Is there something better?

What breeds are they? Most birds start around 4-6 months, so you just may have to wait a month or two. I had a buff orp, golden laced wyandotte and australorp and all layed at around or like a week before being 6 months [IMG]
    and the feeding is fine.

I have 2 Orps that are 5 months old and still are not laying ..I think putting an exact time on them is near on impossible ..

It would be great if you could do something to make them lay everyday from when you wanted
