Eggs zipping!

Thanks everyone...5 chicks as of now, no activity with the others yet, today is day 20 so I'm not concerned yet. The 5 chicks are still in the Bator, don't seem to be in any distress, they peep and run around playing then rest...lol thats pretty much it, i think im going to move whatever has hatched into the brooder box tomorrow, but i will see how it goes and decide then unless any have problems tonight and need to come out but they seem happy, perky and fine. Is it normal for chick #1 to know it was the 1st chick? Cause let me tell u it knows..it is the leader in there and it's the smallest i think...lol cute to watch her herd the rest then they all follow her...cute, im in love already! I will keep u guys posted but as of now nothing happening. Thanks for the advice!

Another quick question my Bator only running at about 65%humidity temp still staying 101-102, should I try to add some warm water or leave as is? I resd 75% is about where i should be during lockdown. but i do not have a tube to fiadd anymore water so i woild have to open the lid quick & use my turkey baster works great and dont have to open all the way...what would you guys suggest? am i ok at 65%

If the others didn’t have any trouble zipping, I think you are fine to leave it. If you would rather bump it up, it won’t hurt to lift the lid quickly. You could do it when you take the other chicks out if you want.

Thanks everyone....I'm still at only 5 chciks, i think im gonna move them to brooder box and try to find the stinky egg as @oregonkat suggested. getting anxious as ive heard nothing from the other 7 eggs, im pretty sure one is stinky but may just be the old bator im not sure as i really did not smell anything bad when i sniffed each egg on day 18 when candled before lockdown. It's hard to hear any new eggs pip with the 5 babies in there cause they all wanna play when i go over to the bator...lol and they get noisy so all i hear is them!

I've never had a stinker in the incubator, but from what I've heard many times, the stinker is VERY obvious. Just handle carefully! :D

And good luck!! :pop
Ive had a stinker! :sick
Also had one that never stunk but started leaking sticky grossness .:idunno
And deffinetly be careful, they really can explode! :old
:pop:pop:old
