Eggtopsy

I have just hatched 8 chicks on days 23-28 on day 30 after not seeing or hearing any further signs of hatching I decided to turn off the incubator. After clearing the incubator I performed an eggtopsy on the remaining eggs and found that the majority of the egg were fully developed chicks. Have I been to hasty in turning of the bator? No issues with humidity or temp throughout the whole incubation period. Also I'm Not sure why the ones that did survive hatched so late. Please help
