EMOJI HATCH ALONG 5/18 incubation

I did a quick check of the eggs, this is not a cull but to see what Sunday might bring. A lot of them were maybes but because it wasn’t in your face definite I didn’t check them off as good. Only one I suspect is truly not fertilized at this point. That’s the only white leghorn.

Anyway these are the ones with good vein development and a good little chick embryo in the middle.

Again this isn’t a cull. Some of them had very dark shadows where the yolk development is and I think that’s also a good sign. The darker shelled eggs were harder to look at. Day 7 we will do another round of looking and we will truly toss some that have zero development. Right now all are still incubating.

I’m pretty sure is developing. It was in the maybe category but I think after looking at tons of videos today a lot of those maybes are definites they are just on the younger side of development still.

For Day 4, a lot of the “definite” ones looked more like they were day 6. And the maybes were looking like more true day 4 development.
