Mar 13 - Started hatching hole in egg

Having trouble with my first chick. Went back to the thigh master and tied the legs again. She had an issue and cut her leg. I am still trying but I am starting to face the reality that she might not heal right and will have to be put down. So far she is holding her own but doesn't like anything on her legs at all. She doesn't like anything on her legs and tried to scratch off the tape I put on to hold her tendon in place. In doing so she cut her leg. I put a band aid on it and retaped the tendon. Well now the tendon is staying where it should be and the Emu turned her body so if you straighten out her legs her body goes to her left. That makes me think that there is another problem with her hip. Well now she is a little bigger and my thigh master fits perfectly and holds both legs at 2 inches apart. I tied the lower legs and put her in a box so she can't hurt herself again. She doesn't like it but she needs it. I do not know what else I can do for her because if I leave her alone she will no longer be able to stand after she gets a certain size. But if I have to put her down at least I can say I tried everything I can think of to fix the problem. I feel so because she was so tiny at hatch and then the neck issue then the leg issue and I can't help but to think nature is her worse enemy

It very well could be a combination of everything she has been through.. with the slippery floor being the final straw. As I recall she had recovered from the vitamin issue and was doing great until that happened

My egg has sounded now, I went to turn it and it peeped at me, plus I can hear it moving around inside. Might be Friday or Saturday.
