Ok chickens are not being helpful. I only got 3 eggs yesterday. Hopefully they make up for it today. I want to put at least another 6 in the bator. Temps are doing good so far. After that small spike lat night it has calm down. Guess I need to keep room about 71 so bator does not get too warm. I will be glad when I can buy a cabnit it will make things so much easier.
I will join this one too because I am due to hatch 5/26-5/29 with a dozen pearl guineas. Shipped eggs and I have development in 10 out of 12 so far! Yay!
Oh I have a Little Giant Still Air with an Automatic Turner.
Okay, I am joining in! I have 35 Lavender Orpington eggs from a local breeder I am setting tonight. This will be my first hatch in my new Hovabator Genesis 1588. Hopefully the local eggs will have a MUCH better hatch rate than the shipped eggs from my first 2 hatches.
I will have 4 sets of eggs due between 5/21 and 5/31. All Set in Little Giant Incubators
Due 5/21: 17 assorted polish and 3 orpington/polish cross
Due 5/26: 12 Lavender Orpingtons
Due 5/29: 10 Golden Sebrights and 8 Mille Fleur de Uccle
Due 5/31: 8 Black Copper Marans
And Due today some beautiful chocolate Labrador Retrievers....If Rachel will get it in gear already....Ive seriously been sitting here watching her for 7 hours since she first showed signs of going into whelp.
I just set 3 more of mine last night for a total of 15. Hubby is worried that we will not have another broody by then. I said it would not matter because of new coop they can be by themselves.
Buttercup congrat on the litter. Puppies are just so special. Love puppy breath. I remember my grump first litter I was up and down all night since she was whelping in my bedroom. It was a long labor last most of the day.
We have our chicks in the coop right now. Not sure where I will put the babies in the incubator right now. They will definitely be smaller than the ones in the coop so I think I am going to have to get creative.
