With our new ones last year they decided to do the impossible.. We have 10x20 coop. Half is for lawn equipment. The ladies were flying way up in the rafters of the coop. When they laid what a mess below. Also, they had a high rise roosting board. They were flying from the high rise to the lawn equipment side too. They all laid their eggs around and on the bail of straw. We were not getting any eggs from the seven new girls. Another is they were laying eggs on the roosting board. When in doubt look up. High rise board came out of the coop replaced with two lower boards.

One of my hens was rescued from the local post office where she had taken up residence in the parking lot. Before we got her she had laid an egg in the mail that was waiting in the delivery bay. The postmaster found it and was greatly surprised.

Entry number 1: Miki, I believe it was, then aged approximately 2 years, ISA Brown.
Laid an egg in front of the passenger seat in one of the cars, right where you put your feet. Don't know how she got in there.
