English Shepherd as Poultry Guardian

One source for information may be through the social services office at local hospital. They may get you information regarding local cancer support groups. Only folks going through this horrible situation truly understand it, though many others are compassionate enough to want to help. The local cancer groups should be able to guide you to the right resources... even if it is only folks willing to help prepare a few meals, or do some light housekeeping or errands. Just that little bit may give you a chance to take a breath, and speaking to others who have gone through this may help you find the extra strength you need to get through, even if you have to borrow that strength from others for a bit.

Thank you. We are getting limited help from a retired co-worker as she has covered about half the time I teach. I teach only one course at this time and have to watch for COVID as in person. My brother will be coming from 5 hours away to help with yard work and will also be taking some chickens (about 50) off my hands. Sister in law already saddled with lots of her own fun has been trying to help, but she is one with two jobs.

I need to find ways to wind down after a rough day. There is no way for that to happen now. You have to be on your toes at all times. It is really fun trying to find time to do laundry. Work is also getting fun. I go in every day of week early in morning just to check on things. It is hard to back off what I feel is essential under normal circumstances.

You get stressed out and feel exhausted all the time.

This my nephew (pictured) got late yesterday. He has bragging rights for a while. He is a football player in college. Came back to hunt backyard for weekend and did good. My kids worship him as he is their only boy cousin. He took it with a bow, but I am not clear on why hind quarter removed. It would have made very good dog food. He was able to find it my smell so I guess it was a gut shot. Nephew 6' 2" so buck pretty big.

Maybe it was too heavy otherwise?

Did it dieand lay for a while before he found it? Something might have damaged it too much to save the back
