In the Brooder
My family and I just got 15 chicks, they are now 3 days old, we got 6 of them from a local feed store and the other 9 from a different store. We had chickens when I was younger, now that I am older I have taken charge of raising them as my own. I am really excited and want to learn the best way to do everything for them. we are building them a new coop and have plenty of space for them to roam when they are ready. We have one medium sized dog and a cat, but do live out in the wilderness where there are many other predators. I have a few questions about identifying breeds but have been doing a lot of reading on what they need now and what they will need in the future. I will head to a different forum for breed identification and maybe have some questions about vaccinations too.
