Hello, Is your bird still eating and drinking? I have found that new product called VETERICYN worked great every time I have used it. It is very aggressive on infections.one step topical spray. they have a over the counter formula and a double strength veterinary formula. Good luck with that)

Yep..I have a friend who uses this and she loves it..but it is also about $30 over the counter..it is one of the things at some point I want to have in the cabinet.​

Yes he seems quite happy and normal and is eating and drinking fine. i have put supplement in his water just to give him that little extra help.

i will ask about the Vetericyn tomorrow first thing

Just checking in to see how Ernie is doing and if the soaks have been helping him. He's such a sweet looking boy - I hope everything is ok!

Hi everybody,
I just finished soaking him and putting hydrogen peroxide on the wound...
here is a pic from today

i don't think it looks any worse but i don't see any improvement
he is still in good spirits
i called the vet about the Vetericyn and i am waiting for a call back.

Has any of the scab-looking part come off? I think that you are going to need to get the stuff out of that mass in order for it to go away. Hopefully someone with more experience can give advice about that! You are doing such a good job with him - keep us updated!
