Iona looked at Rick and then back at her house, sympathy crossing her face. " we gotta....go... Rick..." She said not wanting to be the party pooper, but if her house was on fire, there was a good chance that the... Bad guys.... We're around.

)oh, sorry.)
Iona's heart ached for her but she had to move on, i mean, at least her parents were alive, right? Iona glanced at the house from the corner of the alleyway hoping that her parents weren't inside. They probably weren't because they had just left the house, but still.... you never knew. "so what do we do now?" she asked, her voice quiet and confident as she turned back around and looked at Rick.
"My dad... thought it would be a.... er..... useful skill to have..." Leoyce said looking around guiltily at the actual reason his dad taught him. He did enjoy it a bit, and he was actually a very good cook, he just didn't like to admit it because he found it slightly embarrassing.
Leroyce looked at the floor again, feeling uncomfortable. How did he manage to get into this situation? "I.... uh... well I guess so....." He muttered, glancing back into his backpack."Oh, okay." The girl said. "Can you cook well, then?"
Iona looked down at her hands, playing with her index fingers, "weeeeelllll........." she said looking away even more. She didn't want to rat out the twins or that one boy with the portals, and maybe the guy who had attacked the other guy was one of them.......she had no idea what to say."We find our way out. But we can't leave right now. We won't be able to make it far with that van there..." Rick said. "That's the vehicle that the men who tried to get me were in. Say..." She started, somewhat horrified, looking up at Iona. "Do you think they're trying to get somebody else? Like they tried to get us?"
