Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

Kenny explained it to me like this. Crude oil puts of a gas called HTC that is highly explosive. The oil itself is flammable but not explosive. They were working, probably circulating the oil. I guess it does something to the quality of it. These kids work for the guy who owns the oil, then Kenny works for Cenex and they test the oil for quality and decided whether or not to buy it. The first guess was maybe the kid on the top of the tank was smoking, but our "extra kid" Huck knows him and said he chews instead. One of Kennys coworkers showed up here yesterday and they were talking about it. I guess if the conditions are just right, still air, just enough HTC, that static electricity can cause it to explode. Kenny and the guys are warned of this and are all trained to handle or help in this type of situation. It can happen to any of them at anytime. You girls remember a while back I was complaining about Kenny starting school? Well I am thinking it may be high time for a career change. Reality bites!

I guess it is along the same lines as touching your car before you pump gas to break the static or not being on your cell phone when pumping gas. So glad everyone is okay. I know it must be hard on you to know what risks kenny has to take. It could of been anything, a rock in his shoe scrapping against the roof of the truck would throw a spark --

I think you are right. It is a lot like at the gas pump. I used to get annoyed about the cell phone rule, but I will be following it now! As far as the risk to Kenny my biggest fear was always the crappy road conditions his boss makes them drive in. I can't tell you how many winter days there has been road advisories, emergency travel only and they have been out there driving in it. My question was always, that oil has been in the ground how many millions of years already? Is it really going somewhere in the next day or two?

Now I just have more to worry about

Whinging American!!! It's $1.40... a litre... here. And $3... a litre... in the UK!

(Random note: Most foreigners I know crack up laughing when Americans complain about petrol prices because would you believe you actually have it cheaper than most countries?! But Americans don't know that! Yeah it's cheap in Mexico... but dude, that's... Mexico!)

All in fun, sorry if it came off harsh. Just woke up. Barely had my first sip of delicious coffee.

Today is Tuesday which means today is happy cooking day. :3
