That is so cute! You and Des are like new Mommys!

I guess it is good to know she will be a good mommy when she hears a baby cry! It was funny, because we didn't know we were each doing it until we got to talking about it. Of course, the boys slept right through it! We like to cuddle with them while we are watching TV. They just settle right down, until you talk or laugh, then they get wound up all over again!

Miss Bailey somehow got injured when we were fixing the fence yesterday. She kept getting in the way of the reciprocating saw and I think Colton did nick her ear with it. She was dripping blood and has about a 1/4 in cut. She just kept getting in the way even when I went over to keep her out of it. I thought the sound of him cutting metal would scare her, but no, she just HAD to see what was going on! At this point, we had Bella tied up! She was really a pain yesterday morning!

The kids and I went to St. Joe yesterday. I can tell you all there are no turkeys or ducks within driving range of us right now! However, Destiny and I did pick up one of those cute whirly skirts Old Navy was advertising! I don't wear skirts much, but I do like to once in a while in the summer. Besides, we have a wedding to go to this summer.

That is so funny! I saw the Old Navy commercial yesterday, and thought, hey I want one of those! I love to wear skirts in the summer, it hides my thighs!!

What color did you get?

I am sorry about Bailey! Poor thing. I bet Colton felt bad

Curious creatures!

They feel really comfy! I got a brown one and she got a blue one. There were some pretty colors, but I wanted something that would go with several different colors. I loved the lime green one, but I forced myself to pass on it! The twirl and there is a straight piece underneath so your bloomers don't show!

That is all we came home with from that shopping trip. We went hoping TSC would have the ducks we wanted, nope, nothing. Every where else had sold out too. I am hoping closer to Easter we will find what we want. I have a friend who wants us to raise some turkeys for her until they outgrow the brooder, but didn't find any either.

I am filling out my NCAA bracket, sorry, I didn't take Montana very far. But then again, I don't have much faith in Mizzou either, so I didn't bet on them going far either. We fill them out every year and have a "pot" that we each put $10 in and the winner gets the money. Unfortunately, I don't follow basketball much until the tournament comes around. So it is more like, oooo I like the name of that team or they have a cool mascot or whatever!

Great pics, chickenchick! Don't you just love cabins like that! My dream home will be a log cabin. I have sent my deer suit out to have it cleaned. I may wear it again soon. It makes me look skinny, don't you think!??

And I'll bet you didn't even notice us spying on you. We were peeking in from above the mantle of the fireplace. See us??

Michelle....so sorry to hear about Gertie. Maybe she has a duck on the side away from Frank! Don't give up hope! I am excited to see pics of your turkeys! I am now jealous of you too!

I had all of our girls over for spaghetti and meatballs Saturday as a welcome home party for DD. It was quite a sight! All 4 girls, husbands, and all grandchildren were there! We haven't all been together since a year ago Christmas! Took lots of pics! My memory disk thingy is broke on my comp so I cant download anything but DDs are going to be emailing pics to me so I can post. Also got to see my new grandson! He's soooo tiny and cute! Between all of us, I don't think we ever put him down! Also...as an Italian, my DH makes the sauce. Well....I made it Saturday (with his coaching!) and it turned out great! I was up at 6:30 Sat morn, yawning...chopping up onions and garlic! I was very excited about my first attempt. I made probably 3 gallons of sauce(estimate...it was in my biggest pot) and all they left me was 2 cups! I can't wait to try it again! Anyway... we all had a great time!

Happy Monday Everyone!

Spaghetti sounds yummy! I just make my sauce from a can, so I can imagine how delicious yours was! That is great that you all got to get together!! We get to see pics of the beautiful grandson too, right?

Last night we grilled pork loin. I am still thinking about how wonderful that was! Good thing my whirly skirt is elastic waisted!!

I can't wait til the weather is good enough to grill outside. It has been windy, cold and drizzley for days. I have noticed that the grass is finally starting to green up! Spring is on it's way! And I'll have to say...if you ever make your own sauce...you'll never use a jar again! And yes, I've got pics of my beautiful grandson. I am at the mercy of my DDs to get them sent to me! I have got to get my memory card thingy fixed!

Hubby will grill in the garage for me most of the time, but he was napping so Colton and I took the grill on the porch. It wasn't too bad until the sun went down (like we had any to begin with) and the wind picked up. Hubby finally moved it back in the garage to finish. It was an awesome supper! Nine pounds worth so we obviously didn't eat it all, any ideas for leftovers? I was thinking about bbq pork sandwiches? Any other ideas?

One of these days I will make my own sauce, but I am pretty much a box and can girl myself! I am trying to get better!!

You wear bloomers?! LOL!!

I need one of those skirts! I would probably get the same color you did just because I would be able to wear it with more things.

Pork loin sounds so yummy! I used my new steamer last night for rice and brussel sprouts. Kenny BBQ chicken. We really enjoyed it but then we had popcorn later

Charmed I can't wait to see baby pictures! It sounds like you had a great day on Saturday
yippiechickie.gif

Last year I took the last of my tomatoes, zucchini and onions from our garden and made about 6 gallons of sauce. It was so nice to be able to grab a bag out of the freezer and instantly have homemade, homegrown sauce! ( I know Charmed I need to learn to can

) How about you come and stay with me this fall and show me how?!
