Spoke to the seller earlier, and sent pictures. He said that most of the time his darker chicks turned out to be males. After hearing the good news about the hens,I feel blessed either way.

Oh,sorry,I was reading your post wrong about candling. I thought you meant that you had another set of eggs in your incubator...hahaha,I'm sorry about that. But I was wondering where the breeder is from? I might be thinking of getting eggs from him if he is a good breeder.

Mine still haven't hatched. I opened one up that I couldn't see or hear anything from. Killed the unborn chick. Super ******. From the looks of the chick My hatch is running a couple of days late.

All i can figure is my temperatures are getting too low.

When I used to use an incubator, (before I had Asil), I never opened it from day 18 until day 23 or 24, depending on what it sounded like.

Im doing that with the next batch of eggs
