My aunt had one on her bottom. She didn't know how bad it was and it got gangrene(sp). She ended up in the hospital and they did stuff that was very painful. She was very sick for quite a while. It's very important to take the meds and get it removed.

If his dr took a wait see atitude he was wrong.
let me exlain,
a few years ago I had one on my shoulder, between the cap and my neck, very hard toget at easily.
My Dr took that wait and see attitude and boy was it a bad thing before too long it ws seriously infected and had to be lanced by a different dr,
The pain of the lancing wasnt bad but the push up and squeeze out of a tiny hole was about a killer.
Mine had gotten so bad that the new dr was thinking hospital and surgery, I couldnt at the time I had a small child to tend, I talked him into lancing it in the office, the cyst had grown down into the back of the shoulder blade and the poison had to be pushed up through the incision,and yep the pain I mentioned was real. omg real but after all the nasty was out and a good 3 weeks of stif anitbiotics I have only a small scar.
If his dr wont remove it now find another dr before some really deadly poison sets in there.

Uh oh, that doesn't sound good at all gypsy. Hubby not feeling very well, and the cyst started getting a small hole, which means I think I have to do something about it today. Not looking forward to it at all.

I'll look at it this way, if I can manage to get some of the junk out, and he feels better, it will be like practice for me in case I have to do something on a chicken one day. I can do minor surgery on myself, but someone else bugs me out. Even if it's hubby. We'll see what happens later.

I don't know... I do know that if you have some sort of infection and you put a anti biotic ointment on it and then put a bandaid over that it will draw out the infection. I don't know if that would work in the case though??? It probably needs more attention that this.

my dad was diabetic and had a boil on his neck bout the size of a golf ball. he had it lanced.


my friend in highschool told me about a big zit on her brothers back in the middle of his shoulder blades. said it was just really painful to him and she barely touched it and he arched his back and put his shoulder blades together and said...oooowwww! and the thing oozed out by itself and green puss rolled down his back.

how's that for nasty?

i would have liked to seen that.

my mom came over yesterday and i had my black head popper tool and was getting out her corks on her back.

i feel like a monkey when we pick on each other like that.
