Eggs are very gross if you think about how they are formed, or what they could be if fertilized, but I still like them!

My 3 hens were given to me a year ago-so I’m not sure how old they are, but they’ve been laying since I received them. I posted the one picture I took to. I have no roosters so maybe it was a piece of the reproductive track mentioned earlier. Thank you for your help.

Yes. very gross! My mom use to give me eggs until I said No More, after I got embryo in an egg. She has roosters. So instead she gave me a few hens, so I would eat eggs again and now this I just wanted to make sure they weren’t sick. I will never open a elongated egg again! This was their first weird shaped one-now I need to figure out who layed it, especially if I get another one.

Is the smaller ball just a smaller yolk? Blood can happen from ruptured blood vessels. It may be a once in a lifetime occurrence, hopefully.
