Excel spreadsheet for tracking expenses and income from chickens

My 2 cents worth...

I liked the "older version" because

...it told me the average number of eggs per day...gives me an idea of production per bird, ie...6 birds, 5.6 eggs per day...pretty good. 6 birds, 4.2 eggs per day, whose holding out on me???

In the expanded version it lists total # of eggs collected, per month to date. Total # of eggs is impressive, but it doesn't give me much info on average per bird.

...I also like the productivity feature in the older version, productivity to date for the month, vs productivity for the month to date. However you want to phrase it (I'm not good at computer programming), I like the older version better. I'd rather know that on the 20th of the month they have been 85% productive "so far" rather than 66% productive for the whole month thus far.

Overall I love both the older version and the new improved "expanded" version. I am running both side-by-side to see which I will prefer long term. In some ways I really like to break out the bedding from the feed expense, and later in the year I will have brown and colored eggs, that will be fun to track. On the other hand, I like the "math" of the older version...average eggs / day and productivity calculations. And I am running on Office 2000, and I think things are running just fine (?).

From someone who loves the data but is not programming literate...thank you!

Just click on the column header where the xxxx's show up and widen the column, the number is too wide for the available space. Very easy fix.
