Well, that sucked. I went in and had to have blood out of each hand because the first hand wasn't cooperating. Then I drank the nasty stuff and got very nauseous. Waited an hour, couldn't find a vein--had to be poked & re-poked. Felt dizzy, really sick. Was told if I threw up, I'd have to start all over! th Waited another hour, had a different lady draw my blood--she got some from my arm. Then waited another hour--different lady--used the same needle hole for the next blood draw. Waited another hour and got another poke in the other arm. By this time, I'm dizzy, very nauseous, tired, confused....went out to my car and sat for 40 minutes before driving to the store. I got there, got my stuff--very slowly moving--like I was in a dream....and slowly drove home.

On top of the glucose drink--I had to fast for 12 hours before my appointment--so by the time I got home it had been 17-18 hours since I last ate. sad I won't know my results until tomorrow.

Then I got home and unloaded the groceries and found my cabinet incubator at 72 degrees with 87% humidity. I have no idea why it won't turn on??? The turners are working but no heat & no fans. hit I had 16 blue/wheaten ameraucana eggs in there, 12 bantam houdan, 8 dun laced wyandotte bantam, 6 RIR RC and 6 bantam favs--all due to hatch this week. hu I'm just sick over it. he

I moved some other eggs around and managed to fit everything into the incubator with the call duck eggs...they are all due around the same time...I don't have any idea how long it was off because I was gone about 5 hours today.

I emailed the guy I bought the incubator from and no response. sad

So sorry you had to go through all that.

As for your bator, maybe they will be ok. I hatched 20 out of 39 when our power went out on lockdown day and didn't come back on until 4 and a half days later. We had them shoved into the cooking oven with a coleman tent heater and regulated the temp as best we could by cracking the door. Their temps went between the low 60's to 104 before we ever got it to stay around 99.... I will never know how we got such a great hatch from that.. They did hatch a day or two late because of all of it, but they hatched!!! So I hope yours pull through too!

Yes...well, 3.5 hours just because of them being really busy. They had me fast and then drew my blood as soon as I got there (8:30). That took about 10 minutes. I drank the nasty drink (had to down it in 5 minutes). So about 8:45 I went out to wait. About 9:50 they called me back in. Took a few minutes to find a vein. Then send me back out. At 11:02, they called me back--did another blood draw (took a few minutes to find a vein). Then at 12:12, they called me back for another one.

I do have three broodies in the coop--maybe 4...so all is not completely lost...just completely inconvenient.
