eta: some interesting news of my own - my SIL gave me a crib, but it's one of the drop side types. Not the kind I really wanted. I originally wanted a white crib (non drop side) that grows with the child.

Yesterday my parents stumbled across THE EXACT crib I originally wanted! White, no drop sides, converts to toddler, then twin/full sized bed! Gently used, but still has the mattress wrapped in plastic - $40!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are going to stop today to see about getting it.

Now, if they get me that one, I have to figure out what to do with the one from SIL.

My daughter is almost 2 and she is getting used to the idea of having a little brother. He won't be here until October. She has been a big help setting up his room and she constantly is giving my stomach hugs and kisses. Hubby is happy because now there will be a son to carry on the family name. Now I'm just hoping to be able to have a natural birth because my daughter was a c-section. She was breech and, being stubborn like her dad, refused to move. We go Tuesday for an ultrasound to check his kidneys since they were swollen up at the last one. Hopefully little boy plays nice because I'm not sure I can handle recovering from a c-section with a 2 year old, a new baby, the dogs, the cats, the chickens, the ferrets, and whatever else is wandering around my house at the time

One of my friends our BYC's Sister site Sufficient Self made an afghan and matching hat for my baby! It arrived yesterday!
