Ugh. I just started attempting to look into this as well.. it's no fun.. and it's expensive

But what isn't?

Was hoping that some family would just out of the blue exclaim that they would love to watch her for us

But that, of course, isn't the case. We've roped them in to watching her for the first few months at least, so I just have to live with what I can get

Like I was telling DH, what good are the baby's great-grandparents if they are still to flippin' active to sit on their retired keesters and play with a baby!?

Silly hikers, jeepers and travelers.. geesh.

Just got home from my glucose testing! I am so nervous for the results! I have my next OBGYN appt on Monday so I don't have long to wait which is good. But gosh btw this and the IV i needed at the ER on Tuesday I am feeling a bit like a pin cushion! Oh and if you don't like orange flavored syrup opt for the fruit punch glucose syrup!

Getting it down was the hardest, then I was a bit queasy LOL! After the test we got some food and now I feel like crashing. I think I need a nap! How was it for you?

I am always with my kids, and no grandparents willing to babysit anyway, so I guess that's one blessing in not being able to find work! Really miss having a full time job with a regular paycheck, though!

Gracious! Did I miss something!? Why were you in the ER!? Hope everything is okay!

At the rate I'm going, I might be in the same boat eventually though. I'm crazy dehydrated, and no matter what I do I can't seem to get myself back to normal. I've been trying to force the fluids though.. My body/skin has even began to react

Miserable. And it helps none that the temp is 100 degrees today, with a heat index of 115 degrees.

Okay, so I was thinking about yet one more of the million things I have left to do... What one Earth is she going to wear home from the hospital!?

Any experienced mommy advice? Anything the hospitals typically don't allow or don't like for you to put them in? Things I should consider? Easy to get on/off? What!?

some mothers like to have a special outfit to bring them home in, personally I didn't care as long as he was warm enough and it was clean! Our hospital wasn't worried other than checking we had a car seat for him.

I don't have her coming home outfit picked out yet, either - and I only have 8 weeks to make a decision (or less)

I haven't even started to pack my hospital bag. I never seem to know what to pack! Any suggestions/lists from other moms? Anyone else still need to pack their bag?

my list so far:

Mommy Bag
nursing bra
nightgown
bathrobe
books to read
toothpaste
toothbrush
hair brush
scrunchies and hair barrettes
camera
battery charger and batteries
lap top to update family and friends after delivery
nursing pads
extra socks
clean outfit(s) for DH
extra underwear

Baby Bag
Coming home outfit
blanket
baby book
maybe diapers, but hospital sends diapers home with baby

Also need to make sure we have the carseat with us
