For baby- Diapers (at least 5 to be safe), wipes, butt cream (A&D or Desitin, whatever you prefer, just in case) baby butt powder, maybe baby lotion, but not really that important, a pacifier if they plan to use one, 2 or 3 baby blankets (light weight is best, they take up less space and can be layered) and several burp cloths for spit up.
For mom- a small pillow (for her lower back, to prop up baby if u stop to breast or bottle feed, to cushion a c-section if one was done) several water bottles (water is VERY important to all moms after birth) maybe a light blanket, slippers/socks/flip flops, hair tie or head band, hand lotion, a light snack (fruit, crackers, etc).
That should do them both just fine for a 2 or 3 hour trip. Ask her if there is anything special she might need or want. Dont forget to leave space in your car for anything she may have recieved while at the hospital, like a free diaper bag, gifts, flowers, and of course the baby car seat.
RAREFEATHERS!! O-M-G!! TOO cute!! That flower is bigger than she is!! LOL!! Very sweet pics, worthy of framing I think. She's so pretty, thank you for sharing!

Well, the winds are really picking up now. The worst is supposed to be here between 2 and 6 am. Hubby is out being a hero (paramedic/firefighter) so it's just me and my Lab, Maggie, for the night. Limbs are starting to come down in the area, so I'm not sure how much longer I'll have power. Hopefully I can catch back up with everybody tomorrow!
In the meantime, I need to lay down and relax. I'm anxious and tense and my stomach is starting to tighten up.
