Hopefully I'm not busting in on your private space- It's fun to see something like this on a chicken site!
Congrats on expecting!!!! Welcome to my whine page. LOL

So I have a cold. 36 weeks + cold = every time I sneeze I wet myself. lol I do kegels, I swear I do kegels. They mean NOTHING. lol

I'm in surprisingly good spirits considering how ill I am and how ill I've been this whole pregnancy. Just looking at the end of it and feeling really excited to have my baby.

Have any of you been shown hair on your U/S's yet? I'll have to go home and grab my pic from yesterday. She's got a TON of hair. Not surprising really considering how much our son had. The Dr.'s would not stop talking about how much hair he had on his head. Poor kid was assumed to be a girl for the first year of his life.

I know the feeling of fearing a sneeze. My sinuses have been plugged for the last week so I have the opposite problem now. Before that it was no-warning sneezes for about two weeks. Pregnancy does not like my sinuses...

I had to google Braxton hicks contractions. lol This is my 2nd pregnancy but I never experienced them with the first. Just feel like my belly is getting really tight. It's uncomfortable but not painful. I swear it's like I've never been pregnant before. It's all new!

went to my checkup yesterday and my midwife says that the baby has officially "dropped" her head is fully engaged, and now "we are just waiting for her to pick her birthday" so we are very excited :)

Thought I'd update since I haven't in a while. I'll be 35 weeks along on Friday. It's going by way to quick. I have a baby shower next month since so many family members wanted me to have one.

I noticed my baby not moving as much out of nowhere so at my appointment on Wed. (first one hubby went with me to) the doctor had me go in for a non-stress test and an ultrasound to check for movements. I did find out that my baby is definitely a boy however he wouldn't give me a good face view. I will be getting another ultrasound in a week or two and will find out how big he actually is. For the non-stress test he didn't like the things they strapped to my belly and he just kept trying to kick at them. I did notice on the screen that he did movements that I couldn't feel. They said everything was normal. Since then he has been having periods of kicking for a while again after not hardly kicking for 5 days. I have to keep track of my kicking to bring the sheet into the doctor this coming Wed.

In the last week I've been having a hard time getting out of bed, turning over in bed, and trying to lift my leg up to put on socks or shoes. From what I've looked up it seems like my relaxin hormone is just over doing it's job plus the baby being upside down. I can feel my pubic bone not locking in place. I have been taking it easy and keeping my legs together when I go to move or turn over.

Finally got the joy of leaking. I was thankful I was at home when it started. Now I just need to find some good supporting nursing bras that will fit my size.

In one way I can't wait to have the baby cause of the toll it is taking on my body but I still don't feel like I have everything ready. I've been trying to figure out how to get my stuff set up and organized. I want everything where I can easily get to it or can have my husband find it. He is horrible at finding stuff right in front of him. I would like to get a dresser changing table for later on but right now till we get the house built I am going to use the top of our dresser. The inside of it however is filled with my clothes so I bought some of those basket bins to put diapers and other stuff in. I wanted to buy a small plastic storage thing for some of the small items but it is about half the price of a really big one that I could pack a ton of items in. Don't know why the price is so close but the sizes so different.

Congrats on the mothers that are almost due or just recently found out. Hope all your pregnancies go well. Don't wait till last minute to do stuff especially if you have a lazy husband. You might feel good one week but it might change the next.

Nice to hear from you. :) I am just two weeks behind you. My biggest complaints at the moment are massive heartburn and insomnia. And my cats. I think they get high on the hormones.

Any time I sit for more than a minute I end up with one in my lap, crawling up my leg or slithering over my shoulder and around my lap and back again.

Hi! I've some organizational tips for you if you need them. Baby will be in your room? Close to the door at all? I have shoe storage racks (the plastic ones) hung on the back of the bathroom door in the kids bathroom. Great for organizing misc products and toys. I'm also using a dresser as a changing table. I used one with my son (still do and he's 2). I just use a changing pad and a plastic diaper organizer. Works great! In the closet I have those pant storage hanging containers in both kids rooms. Great for holding extra blankets, burp rags, etc and frees up a lot of additional space. Otherwise I'm a fan of big plastic totes. One for clothes they don't fit in yet and one for clothes they grew out of. Keeps the closet looking alright. :)

I'm 36 weeks and ready for baby. I'll have to post nursery pics. It turned out amazingly!

Thanks for the tips.

The changing area isn't close to a door but it still would be handy to get one of those shoe racks to hang on the wall near the area. Right now we have our bed and the baby will be sleeping in the area between it and the dresser that I will have the changing area on. If my nursing doesn't work out I have enough room on the top for the bottles and formula. Should be pretty easy for nighttime feedings and changes with the crib and changing area next to the bed.

I have a question I've been wondering about. Should I buy formula since I plan on nursing? I know they usually give you samples at the hospital but I didn't know if I should wait and then have my husband pick up some if I can't nurse. I don't really want to stock up on formula since I would like to try to nurse and I don't know what kind to get incase my son can't handle one type. I did find out the hospital I'm going to will give me a manual breast pump. If I stick with nursing I'll buy an electric dual one later on if I need it.

I did ask on my registry for some items I thought about buying but just didn't. I did put one of those diaper organizers on it. I think it is the one that has a wipe place on top with diapers in the center below and then some places to put other items. If I get one it might hold most of my small items I need.

Once we get our house built this summer I think it will be much easier to organize. I had designed the house to have a decent sized walk-in-closet that I could convert to a nursery if I had gotten pregnant. I think it is a 10'x9' with a window. Not the biggest room but it will be more for a sleeping area for the baby and to help block some of the noise while my husband tries to sleep before work. I'm going to do a superhero theme in it. Even though I have to wait a while to get to decorate the nursery I'll know what I need in certain places.

Right now I just don't know what I'll need for quick grabbing. I know the diapers, wipes, burp cloths, feeding supplies, few clothing articles, and nursing pads I need on hand. I do want to also have extra sheets, fitted waterproof sheets, and the waterproof pads that go on top of the sheets nearby. I may put two sets on the crib so I can just put them off and have a clean set underneath especially for during the night. I got lucky with my niece that I never made a mess on her sheets and that was with changing her in the crib. She had plenty of nighttime exploded diapers that ran up her back and out the legs. With this being my first time with dealing with a boy I don't know what to expect and each baby is different.

With the formula I would recommend getting one tub JIC. My milk took a while to come in enough to actually keep DS happy and we went through what the hospital had given us in about three days. I had to supplement for about a month before I started really producing.

I think I have a spare shoe rack in the garage somewhere. That will help for sure! We are using a playpen/bassinet from DS #1 and it has a little thing built in for changing diapers with a diapering catty attachment. The whole thing is a little big for the room we have in the bedroom but its the best solution we have for the first month.

Printed off a bunch of diaper coupons yesterday. Next shopping trip we are stocking up on newborn diapers! And a few for DS #1 as my family aren't comfortable changing the cloth diapers.

My dad and step mom will be staying with us for almost a month to help with final prep and general survival/sanity after Logan is born.
