Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

Well I'm miserable. The pressure of carrying my baby so low is bursting the veins in my legs. My left leg is completely black from the knee down. Totally nothing to worry about according to the Dr. EXCEPT it could be PERMANENT. Add to that I'm 7 months and still throwing up. :( Plus this little girl is a lot stronger and more mobile than our son was. She literally hurts me when she moves around which she does all the time. Also, my vision has been degrading the entire pregnancy. I have to wear contacts and reading glasses but I'm still getting horrid head aches from my wavy vision. Basically I'm so over being pregnant. Thankfully we are having a girl so we've got one of each now and I can call us done. My hubby still wants to have 4 more but after this..... over my dead body!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Mommies,
This thread sure brings back some memories for me. I too had morning sickness for 9 months with each of my 4 pregnancies. Stretch marks galore and that was that I used all the creams out there. It is hormonal. If you are going to get them you will. My oldest did not allow me to eat meat so I was almost a vegan with that pregnancy I could eat cheese, drink milk and all the sea food I wanted veggies were a big hit. Could not stomach much else. Crackers, ginger ale, lemons, cold water and sherbet were my go to friends. My second could not even see food on t.v. without running to the restroom. My daughter thought she needed to live in my rib cage and so did her brother that followed her. Makes it hard to breath. My daughter was 51/2 lbs only type of baby to have, largest was 8lbs 1/2oz and I thought that child was going to kill me. They were all different in movements and what they decided they were going to make me upchuck. When you feel that urge coming on try to breath through your nose, it does help sometimes.

Pray you all have easy deliveries I always did but I was put through it during the pregnancy. Longest was 9 hours start to finish and shortest was my wonderful daughter 45 minutes she was crowned when we got to the hospital. Remember to embrace each and every moment they go by too fast and before you know it they are having their own babies.

I have a question about foot/ankle swelling before I go trying to call the doctors. Is it normal for your feet to go from normal one day and the next to have swelling that has lasted 5 days?

I have tried elevating my feet for a couple hours which is uncomfortable for me. I even stayed in bed after elevated them and went to sleep. I never liked having them elevated when I wasn't pregnant and now the baby gets kicking real bad when I do it. Yesterday I cut my sodium intake down to about 30% and drank a bunch of water. I've been making sure I walk some instead of just sitting. By last night my feet tried swelling again so I went to bed and then I stayed in bed for 12 hours sleeping (will miss those days after he comes) but I got up and the swelling barely went down. I've also tried cool water soaking and massaging.

The swelling is mostly in my feet, ankles, and some in my calves. Should I try some compression stockings? I am going to the store later and was thinking of buying some to try. I have my next appointment on Wednesday so I don't want to bother them unless I have to. I've joked around that my feet will have stretch marks before my belly which still doesn't have any new ones. Only have ones from when I hit puberty.

I would try compression stockings for sure but I have never had this particular problem. Plenty of others but not this.

Sounds like you are doing the right things but I don't know what else to add.

Hope the swelling goes down.

Yes swelling is really normal particularly in the limbs. Compression stockings will help. I've not had huge feet swelling but I haven't been able to wear any of my rings since the first trimester. So... Blah! The fun.

Hey, all! It's been a while since I have been here, but I have a quick question.

Have any of you experienced implantation bleeding? What was it like and how long did it last?

For 2 days I had pink blood that wasn't even enough to wear a pad for. I just used a panty liner and didn't even need those. It was just pinkish when I wiped. Could this be implantation? Period was due today and I have had no signs of it starting.

Sounds like implantation bleeding to me. I had that once. It was just enough to make me think my period might be starting but I didn't feel like my period was coming. And it didn't.
