Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

I did too, but then had some bleeding and was told to stop lifting feed bags. Just listen to your body and you should be fine.

I was dreaming of pregnancy again, but after last night I am ok for a while.......my baby is almost 5 months old and I fed him last night at 9:30 then had to feed again at 1:30, 4:30 and 8:30. My other ones were sleeping through the night by 6 weeks.

I am tired!

I had 3 hours sleep last night, 4 and a half the night before... this child is going to kill me one of these days.
oh, I was put on strict rest so couldn't do anything with the chickens while I was pregnant.

to each their own, some people listen to every reccomendation and some people dont. I think it is fine to lift feed bags but ask my DH and you will get another opinion. So I secretly lift them when need be....try waiting for someone to help you at TSC get feed, especially during the holiday season. ha! Plus I feel stupid asking for help for something I am perfectly capable of.
I haven't changed anything in the way I handle my chickens, I clean the same and all. I dont eat over easy eggs, but I bet it is the salmonella risk they are worried about. If the chores get to be too much when I am huge (or if I am put on bed rest for some reason) I will be more willing to get help and let someone else do it. But then it will be easier....If I am obviously pregnant then I feel people will probably want to help me and may actually offer.

It's kinda like those women who are joggers before they are pregnant, so they jog throughout their pregnancy - but shouldn't take up jogging in the early stages if they didnt before.
I figure its the same, I did it before so what difference does it make now?
My fiance is pretty good though.. he doesn't want me lifting anything, so he does all the heavy stuff and I get to just tend to them. It works out alright.

Anyone else feel really useless though?
I';m basically under the impression that I'm not allowed to do anything
_ no lifting, no snowboarding, no bowling, no doing anything fun.

It takes away the excitement of a 1st pregnancy because I feel absolutely useless. All I'm allowed to do is cook, clean, and watch others do things. I want to help

I want to help put up the new fence in the run, and help build the expansion.. but 20lb lift limit SUCKS

I felt Useless until week 12, because my doctor didn't want me taking chances until the first trimester was over, now I do just about everything I did before aside from lifting furniture and really heavy things.

I absolutely feel useless, but I am trying (especially after new years eve watching everyone have a blast drinkin and carrying on) to embrace it and think more positively. I can't get into being depressed about it, seems like all weekend I was pretty miserable and dont want to remember pregnancy as 1 long torture segment for me.

let's see....it makes me laugh every time I feel him move and remember that this little one will be here soon enough..(lol like right now)

lol I love feeling useless, because this pregnancy has been really rough on me! Hubby has been doing everything...cleaning, cooking, lifting, tending to the toddler...the only thing he expects of me is to get through school. My nausea was so bad I almost dropped out of school, as I could barely make it through class. My midwife ended up giving me an anti-vomit medication, because I was so dehydrated and lost so much weight.

Dizziness happens in pregnancy. I still get it and i'm 26 weeks. Could be a blood sugar thing too. I notice if I haven't eaten in awhile and been standing for awhile I start getting dizzy. Sit down, relax and drink some juice

I also eat my eggs sunny-side up. I eat a lot of things i'm "not suppossed to" but, most of it is worrys of food posioning, and as long as your food is coming from a good source, I don't worry. I eat med. rare beef, sushi, sunny side up eggs, etc. I do nuke my deli meat like they suggest now, because Listeria is NOT the same as food posioning and altho is fine for you and me to eat, can cause still births. So many people have had healthy pregnancies before they came up with all these "Does and don'ts" but also, our food system has changed drastically.

I am sooo rotten mean this pregnancy! Jeez! I am also hella uncomfortable for only being 26 weeks. We find out on Friday what i'm having. Wohoo! Let's just hope theres only 1! haha.

I have been super-nauseous too...so bad that it's hard for me to get through work each day.

85% of my job is sitting on my butt, working on the computer but I have to take daily trips to the courthouse, detention building and the jail to deliver paperwork which is a few blocks, total. That makes me sick. I have found that once I start to do too much, I get more sick. Which is hard because I'm ADD and it drives me NUTS to sit still too long. I have my next appointment on January 11th. I'm about 7 weeks today. This is my first and I'm probably just being paranoid but I'm also going off of what I'm reading online. My doctor hasn't said anything about what to eat or drink at all...
