Rare Feathers, you're a week ahead of me! I'm due around the 27th of August I think.. My first appointment is on friday!!

Just from what I've been told by friends - no deli meat, undercooked meat, undercooked eggs, sushi, .. I forget what else.


I get motion nausea SO easily! especially if i'm even a tiny bit hungry!! I'm yet to throw up, but man does it ever SuCK!!

kerri you CAN have deli meat, but you need to "steam" it in the microwave first. Unless your not a fan, then who cares right? I personally couldn't live without lunch meat! lol. It's my backbone for lunch!!

They also tell you no caffeine over 300mg, no swordfish,tuna,aka good fish because of the high mercury content. I take it all with a grain of salt. Like, what would be worse, eating a medium rare sirloin or McD's? : / You gotta just pick your battles I guess.

RFF) When you go in for your visit, highly stress your concerns about the nausea and say how it's interrupting your normal daily activities. Maybe they will give you same thing I had. I took it minimally, but when I needed it boy it helped! It's kind of expensive (I have state insurance and paid nothing for it) I think 150 bucks before insurance, so depending how good your insurance is it may be an option for you or not. What I liked about it the most was it melted on your tongue. Last thing you want while preggo and nauseaous is to have to try and swallow a pill! Yesh!

OMG! So for Christmas my mom gave me Belly Buds, They are little speakers that stick to my belly and hook up to my IPod to play music for Luke. I tried them for the first time today and I think Luke was Dancing! He was moving so much it was actually making me Nauseas. He loved the Music! My Brother is a Big name DJ in San Francisco as well as Luke's god Father and I think Luke will be following in his footsteps, lol. My Other brother is a Music Major/Teacher, and played music in Utero for both his kids who now are 5 and 3, and have very high IQ's, especially the 5 year old. He told me to play Motzart, as it is said to make babies smarter.

I plan to play Somewhere over the rainbow by IZ for Luke every night before bed, in hopes it will become a soothing song for him, I know it's a soothing song for me.

They are normally $50, but My mom got them from Babysteals.com for $25, but the deal with baby steals is that they only sell one Item at a time, and change the item at 8am and 8pm Pacific time, so you gotta check it every day. I have seen the belly buds on their site about 3 times in the last 3 months, so I'm sure they will come up again. The Items on Baby steals are always 50% off.

So where you guys find maternity clothes? I have a Wal-Mart here and a JC Penneys....neither of which has anything I can use for my work (business casual) and I also want/need jeans. I've got two weddings to attend this summer as well...
