Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

I told a friend about the sling and cover deals, and got this reply

I have both the sling and the cover. The people who run these businesses offer you free things and charge you excessive shipping and handling fees. Having their covers and slings are better than having none, but it is better to save the money and get better quality ones.

For example, both things are made of very thin fabric and pressed. The items are sent in an over-sized envelope, and you are charged about $10 for shipping and handling. Shipping an oversized envelope typically costs less than $1.

Thanks for the info! I just went shopping! I can't believe they are GIVING them away!!

Btw, I am glad to see someone else is showing. I always show early & get really huge at the end. A friend of mine is three weeks ahead of me and just BEGAN to show this past week...she is still wearing her regular pants and BELTS.

LOL, I started showing very early, I just assumed that the extra weight I was carrying already, had to go somewhere

But then again My I have always been able to feel my uterus carrying high, either way I am happy with it, because I only went through that "I look fat not pregnant" stage for a couple weeks

as long as you know the details then a good deal is a good deal

I haven't seen nursing covers over here, they can't be common. I got a new baby carrier from a charity shop, so I was lucky - I paid £5 for a £45 carrier!

So it's okay for the expectant daddy to post here?

DW and I are expecting our first child together on July 11. We had a pregnancy that went bad last year with a due date that would have been in 3 more days on January 10. We were at the 16 week mark when we lost the baby. Maybe I can convince DW to create a BYC account to join this thread

congrats! I just never left the pregnant threads after having Arwyn, if I'm still welcome I don't see why you can't be!

Congrats and Welcome, My DH checks out the thread too! Definately get DW to join, some of us know the feeling of having a pregnancy go bad, me included, so she will of course get support here if she needs it.

And since you're new I might as well tell you I'm not pregnant (baby is 5 months), but I still stalk this thread since I plan on rejoining in the next year or so.
