Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

love the ready to hatch shirt!
we registered for our baby shower yesterday and it's got me all ready to go! I dreamt all night about Shane and all his baby stuff....had no idea how much we needed! Yikes, how overwhelming!
I am (maybe crazy) but enjoying feeling him moving all the time, seems like he never sits still. I think I might actually miss that, but then again I probably wont have time to miss that

I liked kelsey's pic so much of her and her hubby infront of the christmas tree that I convinced my DH that we should have a nice preggo pic, now that I am getting used to this big belly and not so embarrased by it. this could be our only child and thought it would be a nice rememberance of the better moments of my pregnancy.

I am still waiting to get that hotness that everyone talks about, could use it when it's this cold out! Still always colder than heck.

I took my diabetes test this past week...the drink wasn't as bad as everyone says, but I drank it like a really big shot (which I would love to have) so I didn't taste too much, but then I was absolutely on a sugar rush for a good couple hours...which was good cause I had a lot to do and was almost late for the test!

congrats to all the newer members!

just wait....the second trimester is much nicer than the first (with or without the vomiting)

I love feeling my lil boy move inside too. Makes me feel better every time he moves a lot after he is still for several hours. I did miss the movement after I had my first son.

Wooo Whooo! I'm at 25 weeks, I freaked out DH last night when said it's only 15 weeks until he will be a daddy... Or less! He started breathing hard, and said "Don't do that to me!"

I do that to myself and this is not even my first one! I think that makes it worse cuz I know what I am getting into unlike the last time. It was way worse than I had thought. There is no preparing a first time parent. Just have to do it to know how hard the first 2-3 months are. I am really prolly just building this up in my head but I am SCARED!!! LOL

funny...I was freaking out the last 6 months and suddenly I feel calm and ready to have this baby. I guess we all go at different paces! I was just thinking the other day how we have 10-14 weeks left...due the week of mothers day, how appropriate

How cool! So what's on your Mother's Day wish list--besides the baby? My MIL was giving my DH crap because she was reminding him that just because the baby's not here yet I'm still technically a "mom" so I'll need a mother's day present. When my mom was pregnant with me and Mother's Day came, my dad got her a rose bush. It's now over 30 years old and still growing in their yard.

I will ask DH for one or a tree, I think.

It's our first and I'm pretty scared. With the FMLA I will get 3 months' off plus I can use whatever sick or annual leave I want. I'm hoping I don't get put on bed rest because it will start as soon as that happens (or I'm unable to work). I'm hoping for three months' time....and that will give me time to find a baby sitter (I'll only need one 3 days a week) and at least some time to breast feed, I'm hoping.
