Did you get a picture of the 'dots' to take home? If you did, you could post it and let us take a guess! There is a site, called 'Ingender' that has places to post U/S pics and there are some people who are on there all the time that determine gender by U/S for a living, they are pretty good at it too!

3 dots? How far along are you now? 3 dots can be confusing depending on the age of the fetus. Usually though, 3 dots does indicate a girl, (1 for clitoris and 2 for labia). There is alot of talk about 'stubs' where you can guess gender around 11 or 12 weeks (google 'Angle of the dangle' for some great pics and info)! But you need a darn good profile shot of the whole baby to tell by the stub. Usually if they are wrong on gender, it is them saying its a girl, but it is really a boy. Very rare for them to say boy and its really a girl (depending on gestational age, of course).

As for 3d imaging, I heard its better to go in before 35 weeks because then you can see more of the baby on the screen and if you wait too long, the baby is all squished in there and you only get partial shots. IDK for sure, because I've never really had one, thats just what Ive read.

I didn't even think of the whole squished part

Duh! Thanks for mentioning that!

And I did get one to take home.. I will try and scan it in. I'm sure it really is a girl because I googled '20 week ultrasound, girl' and there was one that looked like it

I'll just whine in disappointment on not having a little boy for a few and get to moving on to girl stuff!

Healthy is all that matters.

And I am 20 weeks and 5 days, today

Half way there!

Had my glucose test today - hoping that comes back OK - and then had my monthly Dr. appt after. I've only gained 3 pounds in the last month YAY. My next appt is in 3 weeks and then I will be going every 2 weeks - goodness this pregnancy has gone FAST.

afterwards, I swung by the church where my family were all meeting to discuss final arrangements for Grandma and proof read the programs for the funeral services on Friday.

My Aunt Hazel and Uncle Stephen had come up from TN. Aunt Hazel said she had something to give me before I left. I told her I could only stay for a few minutes because I was in a borrowed car and needed to return it ASAP.

Aunt Hazel ran out to her car and brought in a manilla envelope lined with bubble wrap. She starts out by saying, "Your Grandma started to make this and didn't finish it. I thought you'd like to have it."

I opened the envelope and inside was this beautiful green crocheted baby sweater! Started by my grandmother, finished by my Aunt!

My Aunt went on to tell me that there had been 2 unfinished sweaters - this one she brought to me, and a second one that she finished and sent to her son (my cousin) and his wife - who are expecting their first baby in September, too!

I cried - I couldn't help it. And I had just recently got this beautiful little white dress with little pink and green floral patterns on it - the sweater will go perfectly - and I want Baby girl to wear it home.

Even better, the very first baby item I had purchased upon learning about my pregnancy was a tiny crocheted pair of green booties! I have a pair of tights to match the dress, and a bonnet, so her little coming home layette is now complete - thanks to Grandma's Sweater.

Once Baby Girl has outgrown the sweater, I'll hang it up as decor in her room

I don't have pics to show ya'll yet, but I will take one and show you hopefully soon - but let me get through this week first please.

I hope your test comes back great!

Glad that everything went well for your routine visit!

And I know that it doesn't help in your Grandma's passing, but if that doesn't prove that things work out like they should, I don't know what does. That is so sweet

And I think that it is awesome that you already have her coming home outfit, and all perfectly put together! And are then in turn hanging it in her room! (( I'm the overly sentimental type, so... this way made me tear up

))

You'll get through this week just fine
