Patients tell me this all the time when transferring care to us. Don't feel bad or guilty. The practice doesn't care one way or another- especially considering how their customer service is. I'm sure you're just a number to them.

I second that, they dont care. have confidence in knowing that you are doing what's best for you and your baby. That's all that matters now.

Miss chatting it up with you pregnant ladies! Being a new (1st time) mom is crazy..especially with a colicky (turns out to be lactose intolerant) baby. Anyone here having a part/full native american baby? If so, consider when breastfeeding not doing milk products and if switching to formula using the hypoallergenic stuff. Took me 6wks of screaming, crying, gassy to figure this one out. I didn't know that wasn't normal, I thought babies just cried and fussed a lot. We are now on the right track and I am actually getting some sleep after 10 weeks!

Good luck to all you beautiful ladies!

I'm having a stressful couple of days.

Lost my favorite goat yesterday and today my 12 DD has been complaining of a headache, blacking out, and feeling dizzy. So we're trying to get into her doctor today.

is it September yet?

I had to do that too, with my first child. I jumped ship at 28 weeks and wish I had gone sooner! Don't feel one bit bad at all. This is a major life experience and you deserve for it to be as positive as possible. You are paying them to do a service for you and if you are not happy with the service you are getting, keep trying til you find the right one. You'll have a much better pregnancy and delivery experience if you trust your provider and can communicate with them.

The lady OB/GYN I was seeing spoke poor English and hurried my appts along and never gave me good answers to my questions. My blood pressure would go up everytime I was there because the visits were so stressful and everytime she would say "you drink too much pop?" after I had told her a million times that I hardly drank any.

I am certain that if I had stayed with them, I would have ended up having a C-section or worse. I ended up switching to a midwife practice that was an hour drive for me, but it was so worth it. They were very warm and caring. My appts there were more casual and lasted much longer and they made sure all my questions were answered.

Best wishes for you and your baby!

I found this thread because I was doing a search, trying to find out if there are any precautions about cleaning your chicken coop while pregnant (like the cat litter thing?) I'd love to push it off on my husband, but it will be weeks before he gets around to it.

I am 33 years old and 6 weeks, 3 days pregnant with our second child.

My Dr. told me that it was fine just as long as I was in a well ventilated area. She also suggested a mask if I was going to be in an area that wasn't well ventilated for more than just a few minutes. Ventilation isn't a problem at all with our coop, but the smell is what has been getting to me. So I do the whole 'grab a breath and hurry!' method

DH is a big help with it though! But I do manage to still have my fair share of cleaning

...you should fake gag/choke in front of your DH or something dramatic, he'll feel bad and start cleaning it for you

Congrats by the way!!!

Thanks MrsKemmerlin! And I'll definitely try the gag trick.

Although with the poo of 30 chickens, I might not have to fake it!

Well, that's better than NOT being pregnant and having someone ask when you're DUE!?

That happened to me & my friend last month when we went shopping at Costco for some of the baby shower stuff...the clerk looked at my stomach and my friend's and asked when we were expecting. My poor friend had to tell her she wasn't pregnant and her son was 18 months old.
