Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

It sure doesn't seem to take much to bring on the water works here lately.

My youngest turned 3 on Thursday. We were going to do cake and stuff today, but none of the grandparents were able to come, and it was so hot I didn't feel like baking anyway, so we thought we'd just plan it for another day.

Then my mom sends me a FB message and says they got their check, have gas $ to come after all, and would see us this afternoon for Baby Boy's birthday!

So then I was all like

NO CAKE and then I was all

I was looking at those too! Sooooo cute! I also am thinking of these.... http://www.amazon.com/Gownies-Designer-Maternity-Hospital-Gown/dp/B000WM94R6

I
was thinking of getting one or two, Laboring in the gross hosp gowns, then after the shower changing into the gown. I am worried they will get ruined during labor, and I would like to use them at home too for the first few days. I like that the gownies ones have snaps down the back rather than ties, but the etsy ones and sooooo cute!

Yeah for an extra $10 they will add snaps down the back to the etsy ones....

Ohhhhh well that changes everything

I must have missed that part! Is anyone packing slippers or sandals for the hospital? I was thinking about that too...something easy to slip on and comfy for walking the halls.

Yep!! I am taking my fuzzy slippers for walking the halls and plastic sandals for the shower. I have an aversion to showering shoeless in a public shower...

Who's pumping? My hope is to use a pump and then feed from a bottle. I'm worried that otherwise, when I have to go back to work in November, I might have problems transitioning the baby from the breast to the bottle?

I have been looking at pumps and have had the Medela highly recommended but I'm not sure I want to spend $200+ on something I'll use for 6 months or so??

I found some on Wal-Mart's website that look okay....

I know I want an electric one....

But do I want single or double? Double seems to make the most sense...but some women have trouble with the double (ha, a rhyme!) anyway--any suggestions?

I've always used a single electric pump - I just thought it was easier.

I'll have to look to see which I have on my registry. I think the one I chose was only like $40 - because higher cost doesn't mean works better!
