Even the NICU nurses couldn't believe that, they told her to get out, lol. So you may want frilly for pictures, but I would transfer her to something simple for the ride home.

Our decision was based the fact that we know eventually she's going to get the urge to bite or lick the cart

And then it's something that's nice and clean, at least! And the fact that it's fluffy and comfy for her to sit in! Might make her shopping experience a little more calming than sitting on some cold, hard seat!
