Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

Our Wal-Mart is just a regular one, not a super center, and they have NO maternity clothes in store. So, I just shop online and have them sent to the store or to me, whichever has the best shipping deal going on at the time.

I've done that for other items. But, I can't do it for clothes. I guess I could, but imagine I'd return a bunch until I got the size right. Every item of maternity clothing I have is a different size. Even from the same store. All of my stuff ranges from medium to extra-large, ughhh! It just depends on the style of shorts or pants etc.. I reckon I am just a weird shape being pregnant.

Edited to say: Either I am a weird shape or the Chinese need to re-calibrate their tape measures.

So I got back from town about two hours ago - I'm whipped! lol had lots of fun, though!

I decided NOT to buy a diaper bag, because the one I already have isn't showing wear and tear - and who says I have to have pink anyway???? The bag I already have is solid black with a silver heart for trim.

Walmart:
Found a couple cute outfits on clearance, and then picked up two more sleepers and a couple cute onesies. I also got nursing pads, other pads *blushes*, two more packs of hangers (still don't think I have enough), and a brite stars bouncer.

Then, my friend and I got really smart, and thought we'd stop at Khol's but ONLY to get the gown I was wanting for a take me home outfit.

That didn't go as planned

Eight outfits and 2 hats later.....we were in the car heading for home....On the upside, nothing was Full price, and there was even an extra 15% off at the check out.

My friend and I have no will power.

There's no fun in that anyway! Sounds like you had a great trip. I especially liked the "nothing was full price" part of it. I need to pick up a few more sleepers, along with some other random things. Already bought the "other pads".... These past nine months have been so blissful in that respect, I am not looking forward to pads again at all!!!!!!

No kidding! but I wish I had been buying those "other pads" all along as if I was still having a cycle, instead of trying to stock up a mere 6 wks before having her!

I plan to breastfeed, and don't usually have a cycle until I wean my babies. I hope that's the case this time, too, but I plan to start buying one package of those "other pads" a month so I have a nice stock for when my cycles pick up again.

Just checking in! I am now 2 days overdue! Crazy!!

My poor DD has been really sick this last week though - she's been throwing up and had a fever since Monday, and just doesn't want to get off the couch. Doctor doesn't have any ideas of what it can be - we've been seeing or talking to him daily since Wednesday - he's just having us make sure she stays hydrated (NOT easy!). To top all of this off, she also has a spider bite which she got about 3 weeks ago which got infected with a staph infection, so she's on antibiotics for that.

With her being so sick, I'm torn between wanting this baby to stay in so my DD can come visit us in the hospital when she's feeling better or having him come out so my mom is still around when I go to the hospital, so she can take care of my daughter (I trust her with that much more than my MIL who is coming when my mom leaves).

I'm mostly just really worried about my DD - vomiting and fever for 6 days is NOT normal.

Hope all you ladies are doing well (better than us anyway!)

I hope your DD is feeling better REALLY SOON! that's a long time to have a fever - could it be related to the spider bite at all?

We're going to church this morning, and after services going to exchange the very boyish space saver high chair that my Aunt got us for the baby for the very girly one (same company, same design, just different pattern on the cloth) that we saw at Walmart yesterday. It's the Mocha Butterfly one that I had on my registry to begin with

Also returning one set of gowns I got yesterday to Khol's for an adorable purple dress with smocking that we had seen on the way out

Could prove to be another dangerous afternoon. lol

DD Sarah had a big spurt of energy... she fed all the animals(with help from my niece) made a batchof cookies, did the dishes (which she never does)... helped DH cook dinner made another batch of cookie.. did dishes again... this is big because lately all she does is lay around playing the playstation 3... she did all of this while being sick to her stomache ... find out tomorrow if she is progressing anymore and if the will try to induce

I'm aware of the postpartum bleeding, but how long does it typically last? And because I'm not breastfeeding, will I resume my normal cycle as soon as I've delivered and my body has recuperated? ..I've heard it will come back with a vengeance
