Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

I just want to tell you all that I'm fairly convinced that I'm just going to be pregnant forever.

That's ok though, I've come to terms with it.

We've done everything we can think of the last few weeks to stimulate labor and none of it has worked! We've tried fried eggplant and romaine lettuce for dinner, fresh pineapple, lots of walking and even enlisting DH's help multiple times, and NONE of it has worked. The only thing I haven't tried is castor oil... I'm not quite THAT desperate! 41 weeks preggo today!

We have a tacoma with a full sized backseat and I'm a little worried about having 2 carseats in the back of that!

Hubby said, "We can just upzip the window and put her in her carseat that way so you won't even have to crawl in the backseat."

We love our Jeep, but we may have to upgrade to the 4-door model at least.

Yeah, I think I would vote for the four door model - those carseats are HEAVY!!

Thanks! I'm sure I will miss it - I'm actually not all that upset at being 41 weeks pregnant, just feeling like I'm never actually going to go into labor on my own. I figure I'm only going to be pregnant for less than 2 weeks of the rest of my life - I can handle it! I am still enjoying things like feeling him kick and squirm, too!

So, the DH is out playing golf. I decided to go into the backyard to feed the fish in our goldfish pond. I've not been back there in a few weeks because it's just been so hot that I wont go outside unless it's life or death..

Anyway... I round the end of the house and could not even see the fish pond. Matter of fact, our 11 year old (huge) black lab trudged ahead and I lost sight of him after he dropped off of the slope just behind the fish pond. The slope isn't that bad!! The grass is just that deep.. DH just hasn't been mowing the backyard!!!!

I am the one that always mowed the yard, pre-pregnancy.. Tried a few times after getting pregnant but the ride was just to rough. He took over.... Or should I really say, he took over half of the yard...

God love him! He has worked his butt off taking up my slack both at home and at work... But a jungle in my back yard??? I will admit, I'm a little OCD about how my yard looks. I never did let it get even a little wooly unless the rain just wouldn't let up long enough for me to mow or something. Sooo, I figured I would mow it. Why not? I'm technically considered full term anyway... Plus I had to go slow because it was so deep.. I even went slower than necessary once I got started because, oh dear heavens, I never realized how rough the yard can be when you really have no business being on a mower in the first place.

I was sort of hoping that the ride would make her drop and get away from my ribs and lungs a little.. Well, she hadn't by the time I got done, so it may not be going to work... LoL But the good news, is that I found the fish pond and my dog!!!!!

Have you tried some serious nipple stimulation? Worked once for me when I was almost 2 weeks overdue. I think I read something once about parsely getting things going? Couldnt hurt.

Stay away from castor oil honey....it just gives you intestinal cramps and dehydrating diarhea. NOT worth it in most cases. Unfortunately, for the most part, baby will come when ready. Its like they just dont realise every extra day they spend inside at this point feels like MONTHS to us moms!

Had to go grocery shopping this morning since we had nothing left to eat in the house. While shopping I decided that a salad for dinner would be nice. The one thing I craved and ate religiously in the first few months!! So I grabbed some romaine lettuce, carrots, radishes, broccoli, cauliflower, bacos, ham, cheese and some Keebler Club crackers to go along with it. Once I got home and unloaded, I asked DH if he would help me put it all away so I could hurry and get off of my feet. As he is helping, he reaches into a bag and pulls out the romaine and holds it up to me with a confused look on his face and says, " I thought you weren't supposed to be eating this stuff right now!"

I guess he missed the fact that I had none of the other required ingredients for self induction.

LOL - DHs can be funny! Mine is convinced that none of this self-induction stuff works for anyone, since it hasn't worked for me, it must not EVER work!

TMI, but I think I'm getting closer! Lost my mucus plug this morning...
