Expectant parent club! Where the pregnant people hang out.

DD went from energetic and happy last night to tired and moody today. I rubbed her feet for her today(nobody else to do it for her) and she seems to be in a little better mood... 3 days until she is induced

I was expecting 2 years ago... But lost the baby from unknown reason in the first month of my pregnancy. I was due Nov. 18th 2009. The worst thing thats ever happened to me. Me and my fiance are trying again but dont think its going to happen.. he will be 30 next year and I will 23 Sept. 10th

But we are trying. Right now Im focused on my chickens and my 3 year old as my other kids live in Texas with their real mom. Congratulations to all of you whom are expecting. My daughter was born August 14th 2008 weighting in at 6lbs even(the docs gave her a couple ounces.lol) She was born at 6:48 in the morning and she was 22 inches long. Was hospitalized around 6 months because they thought I had preclampsia but was released and given a full bill of health 3 days later.

I'm back from my biweekly appt. Last appt my weight did not change from the previous 2 week appt. This week it caught up with me - I gained 6 pounds over 2 weeks. Oops.

My weight has been strange. I haven't really being eating any junk food or drinking many soft drinks. My appetite has sky rocketed and my metabolism has bottomed out it seems. This week I'm 30 weeks prego, measuring 30 cm, and have gained my 30 pounds.

Is anybody else having trouble with their weight fluctuating from visit to visit?

Hi everyone! I just thought I would share some pictures of Daxton. We came home yesterday and are adjusting well to being a family of four.

MFB - Its pretty neat that our LOs share a birthday!! (I'm only slightly jealous that you were pregnant for almost a month less than me...

GFF- yes, the weight is an odd thing. I'm up just over 20lbs now- but gained a bunch this time and actually lost a little weight at the last one. I figure since he's still measuring fine that all is ok. I do have to say I'm not enjoying the # on the scale or the fact that I'm just starting to get stretch marks on my thighs, hip or the thought of working to lose it after he's born but otherwise am enjoying the amazing adventure of pregnancy.

All the baby news this weekend, my gracious! Congrats everyone!

I don't think I have enough milk.

My milk was really slow to come in (due to the drugs I was on and the shock my body went through almost dying)--and Audrey lost almost a pound in the first week. She's now surpassed her birth weight (as of last week) and that's because she's been on the bottle (formula) AND breast milk.

The reason I don't think she's getting enough is because she will nurse for 1/2 hour to 45 minutes, pull off and start to cry. The nipple shield will be empty. So I switch sides. She does the same thing on the other side. Then she'll scream and we'll make her a 2oz bottle. After that, she's content and usually falls back to sleep.

I ordered a Medela pump (a $300 one) which has taken forever to get here and of course, I missed the UPS guy this morning (didn't even hear him knock) because Audrey was screaming so loud.

And that package requires a signature so I have to wait until tomorrow when they will try to redeliver it.

I know Audrey is going through a growth spurt right now so maybe that's why she's like a bottomless pit with her feedings?

Is there a way to increase milk production? Will pumping a lot & having her nurse even more help?
