Thanks for the update. I'm sorry to hear that you're still in the NICU, but hopefully you'll be out soon! Glad to hear that you can stay at a courtesy house - we stayed at a Ronald McDonald house and we will forever be grateful for them. It made a very stressful time just a little less stressful.

Good luck with pumping/breast feeding. I'll second the fenugreek suggestion; its supposed to help a LOT with production. You might also try spending some time skin to skin with your daughter right before you pump - I know that helped my supply a lot. Hopefully the lactation consultant can give you some other suggestions, but don't stress too much at this point, you're only two days post-partum, your milk probably hasn't even really come in yet.

Good luck and keep us updated!

Be easy on yourself with the pumping. Good lactation consultants are worth their weight in gold. They should be able to help you get your milk supply going. I had a rough go at the beginning with getting my milk in, and the LC really helped. Hand expressing may get you more than the pump at this point, and it is worth a shot if you haven't already tried it. I wish you the best, mama.

Glad to hear she is doing well!

When we had Peyton last month I didn't have any milk or colostrum for the first 2 days - colostrum came in a little on day three, but my milk didn't come in until my first night at home - and that was WITH nursing her every 1-2 hours! So, it may take 3-4 days for your supply to come in, sometimes a little longer.

GFF- My prayers and thoughts go out to you and your baby and hubby. I have been thinking about you guys since I first heard about you going early. Im glad to hear things are getting better for baby and that she may be coming home soon. So sorry you guys are going through all this, but it will pass. Many, many

for you and baby!

Give your milk a few days- up to 5 or 6 at least before you get too worried.

Have you requested breastmilk for your daughter yet? Most hospitals have access to programs that collect donated breastmilk (it is screened and very safe) that is only for preemies and at risk babies. I know it might sound odd to use someone elses breastmilk, but if it wasnt helpful, they wouldnt be doing it. Just an idea...

God bless you GFF and family.

(still no baby or labor here.
