Experience with saddled shaped air cells

I personally put the pointy egg down right from the start in individual egg box pieces to keep the eggs upright. Also I pencilled where the aircell was . In lockdown I lay them flat . It seemed to work miraculously
Thank you 😊 So its okay to leave them in the egg cups till it comes to lockdown on day 18, then lay them flat? And it's okay to still slightly turn them every few hours? Was told by someone else not to go near them anymore 🙈

I'm at day 16. When it's comes to laying them flat on day 18, should I face the largest part of the air cell facing up or does it matter? Thanks 😊

I just went into lockdown yesterday with some shipped Orpington eggs which have some very funky air cells. I tried to lay them so that the largest part of the air cell was facing up, it wasn’t easy deciding where that was because of the saddled air cells. I find that they do typically pip where the air cell is drawn down most. Before I read about this I placed them without care as to where the largest part of the air cell was and they hatched fine too. Good luck 🤞!
