Thank youI personally put the pointy egg down right from the start in individual egg box pieces to keep the eggs upright. Also I pencilled where the aircell was . In lockdown I lay them flat . It seemed to work miraculously

SilkiesWhat sort are yours about to hatch?
I'm at day 16. When it's comes to laying them flat on day 18, should I face the largest part of the air cell facing up or does it matter? I just went into lockdown yesterday with some shipped Orpington eggs which have some very funky air cells. I tried to lay them so that the largest part of the air cell was facing up, it wasn’t easy deciding where that was because of the saddled air cells. I find that they do typically pip where the air cell is drawn down most. Before I read about this I placed them without care as to where the largest part of the air cell was and they hatched fine too. Good luckI'm at day 16.
