Expert Silkie and Golden Campine sexer needed!!! also there are many photos ;)

Interesting since all of my hatchery silkies have absolutely no combs!  And, they have been laying for months now.  However, all the boys whether hatchery or SQ have all gotten good size combs...especially the hatchery ones seem to get huge combs quickly!
The less tophat the silkie has - the more of the comb you see. Boys can have much bigger of a comb than this - and girls can have a comb this size too. Of course it shouldn't be that way, but it happens none-the-less.

Silkie looks rooish to me. If you want hens try CL. I know chicks are fun, but sometimes it can be easier and a more sure fire way to get a hen.

I'm also facing a roo silkie and it can be heart breaking.

So the "no wattles" on the silkie don't mean much, right? I read that bearded silkies don't have wattles to speak of.

Anyone have or know someone who has had Campines?

I'd like my next batch of chicks to be all the same age, and if I need another Campine I'd like to get some of those too. But only if I don't end up with a pullet.

Thank you again. You all have been very helpful.

Ok so with my silkie general feelings I get from everyone is it is a Bearded White Silkie Roo? :(

The Golden Campine on the other hand not so clear. The one I labled #1 sounds like most think pullet. But the one labled #2 it is about 50/50 or so (I haven't counted all the posts).

So will just have to wait and see . If anyone pops on with more info please feel free to post.

When I know the sexes for sure I'll put up updated pictures.

Also I will try to post the silkie chicks and see if I can keep track of who turns into what.

Thank you all again.
