Orpington’s are supposed to be calm. I’ve got a 5 month old Black Orpington that just attacked me in the coop today for the first time. The way I try to break them of this is to catch them and hold them down face first on the ground and stroke/pet them on the neck and head in front of the other birds who of course gather round to watch. It’s a dominance thing. There can be no doubt who is in control with them. If that fails. I also love chicken and biscuits casserole.I bought a BO rooster a couple months ago. He just turned one and he is very aggressive. I can’t go anywhere near the coop or run without being attacked multiple times. He just won’t give up no matter what. Any suggestions on what I can do or should I just get rid of him?
I attached a picture of him. Guess I shouldn’t have named him Cluck Norris![]()
