Extremely injured chick- please help me!!!

Hello! I am so sorry to hear about that your poor chick. Did it survive?

unfortunately, he passed yesterday. i buried him. miss the little guy.

oh ok. it just confused me because she loves her other chicks so much and is very protective of them. I didn’t think that she would ever kill one of her babies. she’s very nurturing to the 3 she does have.

I actually have a rescue chick asleep in a laundry basket in the next room, it's about a month or so old now and thriving! A few weeks ago, it's 'Mama' rejected it with GREAT violence, all while lovingly protecting her other two chicks. This, very sadly, happens. Again you have my deepest sympathy
