Eyelid injury need help

This is a 6 month old frizzle Cochin bantam. He got into a fight with one of the flock mates and as a result this happened. I think his eyelid was torn and is now just flappy and rubs on his eye. This just happened today. I don't know if I should trim it off since I'm assuming it'll never function right again and is probably going to irritate his eyeball? Will he forever have eye problems without this lid? Should I cull?

If this just happened today, I would give it some time and see how it heals on it's own. At TSC they sell a Terramycin antibiotic ointment for eyes, and eye injuries. Try applying that 2-3 times a day to ward off infection.
