Greetings
chicksonline,
I can tell you care very much for these chickens.
But, if your dad is the keeper of the chickens, it will be hard for you to help them. Especially if you depend on your dad for money. Everyone has different ideas about animals, and whether we should help them or not.
But, if you are the keeper of the chickens, there is still much you can do for them.
Cleaning the eyes is the first thing you can do. Make some saline solution to clean them. Everyone has access to salt and water. Right?
Keep the birds well fed and provide clean water for them to drink.
Check to see if you have any ointments for cuts, like Neosporin or a generic triple antibiotic. Look at the ingredients it should have: neomycin sulfate, polymyxin B sulfate, and bacitracin. Just make sure there is
no pain reliever in it.
Start with these simple things, and then, see how things go for the chickens.
But be aware, as mentioned by
Eggcessive and
Wyorp Rock, if the chickens have a respiratory illness, it could infect more chickens. And without medicine, they could die. So keep them separate if possible.
Just do your best, dear...that's all any of us keepers can do.
God Bless, and I pray for a speedy recovery for the chickens.
