"Mmm," he said flatly, extending a foot. A Dragoness was creeping silently nearby, and she slid into Guinevere's cave.

Guinevere grasped his foot and began working, too busy to noticed the other dragon in her cave. The dirt and grim crumbled off Ash's foot and soon her dull green scales were black with mud and dirt. She tipped her head under his foot to clean there and shook her head to clear the debris falling into her eyes. Once his foot was clean she grabbed the rock and scraped it along his claw, accidenly slicing open her wing when the stone slipped "Ouch" She muttered quietly before clamping her jaws shut and ignoring the sharp sting that come from it. It took her about an hour to finish all four feet and she flopped down onto the floor, her legs trembling with tiredness after holding his heavy foot for so long. She shook her head again to clear the dirt still stuck in her eyes and began to sweep the dirt from the cave floor, leaving a small bloody trail behind when she used the wing with the hole in it. Finally the dirt was gathered in a small pile, she bowed deeply to Ash before departing and grabbed a mouthful with her teeth, wincing at the foul taste in her mouth. A mixture of sweat, BO and old mud. Scrambling down the side of the cliff she landed very ungracefully and dumped it in the forest so that the cave would like some-what neat and tidy. She walked back quickly and jumped as high as she could in attempt to get back up, her dull claws barely grasping the side of the cliff. She hung there for a moment before scrambling up, her dull claws and weak strength making even harder to get up. After carrying several loads out she just barely managed to get back in the cave. Her legs shaking with exaustion (sp?) she headed back to her cave to rest before that night's mission, not noticing the other dragoness until she was almost really to curl up on the cold, stone floor. She faced the other dragoness in shock, trying to make herself look threatening but utterly failing. "What are you doing here?" She tried to growl but it came out more like a pathetic squeak.

"I-- uhhh," she jumped in suprise and sputtered, "Wrong cave. It's getting too dark for me to see very well, sorry." she said, and with that, she left without another word. There was now a nest of grasses woven in the corner of the cave for Guinevere to sleep in, an unusually kind gift to be given from a Black Dragon.

Milo stalked the bear on it's own turf, the dead pineneedles crackling under his claws.
The bear heard and turned to face his opponent, then standing, growled a challenge.
It was large, a giant even among bears and it was old. His long claws were stained permanently with both the blood of his prey and of his own kind.

Milo hissed his reply, slinking like cat from the shadows.
Normally he would not do such a hunt, too many reasons, not to mention the situation it put him in. In the sky, he was master of the fates of all below, on the ground, he was but one of them.

The bear let himself fall and bellowed as he landed, raking one of his huge claws against the ground.

Two calico eyes watched, her figure was vaguely visible with the silvery blue frame of moonlight. The little Gryphon then spread her pair of long, narrow wings, flying into the night sky, with the bright stars twinkling in her eyes. It was a magnificent sight; all of the nocturnal and diurnal Gryphons were coming out from their caves and their perches in the trees, pirhouetting in the winds, with silhouettes passing over the pearlescent moon in a dreamlike grace.

Milo caught the eyes, but could not stop, the bear already starting a charge.
It was within a foot of his beak when he jumped, flipping over it's back and dragging his claws.

A tiny Gryphon hunted in the creek, standing in the gently flowing waters, before catching a fish in her yellow spear-like beak. Her feathers were slate gray with silver bars etched intricately on each, bright rufous peeking out from under her folded secondaries.

*Ummm... Thanks* She said, too surprised to say much more. She curled up in the soft nest and waited for Fear to get her orders

The morning sun blazed down on Milo and the bear, which now lay silent.

Milo was still wheezing, a large clump of feathers was missing on his back at the base of one of his wings and there was a wicked tear part way up his tail.
Blood, both his and the bear's, lay splattered against the trees and it was only now that Milo thought back on how stupid he was.
It was more of a fight than he expected and the bear fought like fire. It kept him on the ground, the trees to dense to take off from anywhere but the clearing, and that was not possible with a ton of claws and teeth in the way.
Either way, the bear was taken care of, laying cold at the foot of one of the large pines.

Now main reason behind why he did it, was the bears mindless killing.
It had come into the forest several weeks ago, chasing, hunting, killing the deer and elk, not to mention the other bears. And he, as self appointed forest keeper, couldn't let it go.

Sekhmet, now known as Hera, walked into the forest and headed to the river to drink. Something seemed different about her; her gait lost it's limp and her usually squinted eyes were now brightened and clear. She saw the bloodied Milo from the corner of her eye and gasped, hardly recognizing him at first under the mess of matted feathers and blood. "Milo?!" she called, rushing to his side. She knelt down, "Should I get help?"

"Sek, err Hera" Milo replied trying to figure out why the expression on her face looked like she had seen a ghost, "Nah, it's not that bad.. Pure stupidity on my part is to blame.. Ya know, you'd think that if I saw a bear twice the size of usual one with really big teeth, something would click"

He pulled himself up, "I'm going to bet shape shifter, to help help with my injured pride, you know, being beat up by a teddy and all"

(Sorry I vanished, I have a toddler driving me up the wall right now LOL)

"Welll..." she said as she glanced at the bear, "It was a very big 'teddy'. But still, do you need anything? Bandages, perhaps?"
