It stared at a passing mouse, the mouse stared back, then suddenly froze to stone. The creature churred, it's eyes dilating and contracting with interest.

"I think its adorable."

"Giselle....do you know of anything that can do that?" Galieth asked, turning to face her.

 

[BirdNut]

"I once heard of a creature that could... oh, what was it's name again? Cockado-- Cockato-- Cocka..." she stammered, thinking.

 

[duckluv]

"Cockatrice?" the hatchling-thing called from a tree.

 

[Gerbil]

Frill flew back, the clay dragon creature plopping down lopsidedly behind her.

Well, you'd better take good care of it, but don't look at it or dare smell it's breath. Keep it away from weasels and mirrors, not to mention other cockatrices and crowing roosters.
