I do have an F1 Blue Silver-laced cockerel I could toss over the SLO hens, but according to the genetic calculator, that's a hot mess. Which is odd because breeding the SLO rooster to the F1 Blue Silver-laced hen does not result in the same dumpster fire. @The Moonshiner, what would you do?

You say "F1" so I assume one parent was a laced and one wasn't?
The reason I don't mess with laced birds and mixing them is because it takes 3 seperate genes to make the pattern.
When you cross then you want to get back to laced that's more genes that you have to get correct again.
Seems like a lot of throw aways compared to keepers for me.

Yes. Silver-laced cock over Blue or Splash hens, I'm not sure who the dam was. It's generally why I prefer to breed the F1 pullets back to their Laced father. I'll hold off on putting the F1 male over there until I've trimmed butt feathers and for sure know he isn't fertile. I need to move him out of the BBS pen, and I've no idea where I'm going to put him.

I mowed the yard yesterday, so now you can actually see the birds. lol I'll get some pictures of everyone after work. They won't all be on grass because they won't all behave, but we'll see what I can do.

Well, I took pictures, and they were awful. It got really windy and very dark. They did not turn out well. I'll try again, but I think we have a few days of yucky weather.

Black Orpington hen with a Chocolate male, Blue/Mottled hen, and Splash Mauve hen in the background.

Two Splash hens.

Blue hen, Black hen, Black male, Splash hen, F1 Blue Silver-laced male, and Black male.

Blue hen, Black trio, Splash hens, F1 Blue Silver-laced male, and Black male.

Araucana flock. Except for that little cuckoo pullet that had the audacity to lay a brown egg. I have determined that there is a fence hopper in her family tree.

The Kitchen Flock. Sicilian Buttercups, Blue Ameraucana, Mars Bar, non-standard Araucana, the Chocolate Imposter, Muscovy, Buff and Blue American geese, and Grey Saddleback Pomeranian geese. Every time I go in this pen I'm like:

Chocolate Orpington flock with Splash Mauve hens, Blue/Mottled hen, Chocolate hens and Chocolate males.

Swamp Monster (Call Ducks) flock.

Red Orpington flock.

Buff trio.

White trio.

Isabel Lavender-laced male and a Gold-laced/Isabel Lavender-laced hen.

Lavender and Chocolate Cuckoo flock. The two hens up front are cuckoo, but you can only see it on their fluffy pantaloons right above their legs. I need to breed them back to a Black Cuckoo male.

Sirachas, otherwise known as Seramas. I love that little white hen behind the feeder, but she is a chonk! The little Blue Mottled pullet is quite cute too. The three roosters I'm not a fan of. I've got six more young ones unrelated to any of these or my originals growing up. Yes that one male has a tufted head which I hate. The three males are going to live with a friend who calls them Sirachas.

Gold-laced hens with Chocolate Cold-laced male, Honorary Son of Satan. Satan (actually named Faustus), the Chocolate Orpington bantam male not pictured, is locked in prison so I can feed and water him without feeling like I want to rip him up by whatever I grab and beating him against something until he stops moving.

Black/Lavender Mottled male. He is the biggest, sweetest boy. I have two very small potential girlfriends growing up for him with the little Seramas. I might put him over that Blue Mottled hen in the interim.

I gave into their demands and let them out on the yard.

Fergus the LGD and the favorites. lol He's shredding up a wad of napkins he pulled out of my back pocket when I was squatted down taking these pictures.

F1 Blue Silver-laced hen. I didn't realize how blurred she was in this, or I'd have taken some more. I saw her brother breeding yesterday, so I need to move him. I don't have anywhere to put him, though, other than that tractor with Richard, the big Black male. And then all I can think of is a prison situation. lol I'll have to find somewhere to put him.
