Fairy Tail Farms English Orpingtons

I took them to the Commerce Post Office on my lunch. They were very nice and said they'd be careful with them. They should leave on the 5 o'clock truck this evening.

I'm incredibly nervous about shipping eggs. I know I know how to ship eggs, but I just hope they all arrive to you unscathed. I'll be madder than a wet hen if none of them are broken, and they managed to addle the shit out of them like the eggs I get shipped to me. Pray your delivery person isn't dumb enough to hide your box in the garage, so you have to go on a quest to find where they left them. My favorite was on the trashcan in full sun at the end of the driveway, directly in line with my tire in the dark garage, so I nearly ran them over, and on the tailgate of the truck in direct sunlight.
My dude at our office is amazing. It's the people between you and me that make me a bit nervous. But that hunt is also why I asked if you could mark them as a hold at office, I know that box ain't gonna fit in my box, and there's no point in them going down a 30 minute bumpy road in the back of a truck just to try and be shoved in a box and then taken back down that same road another time all for nothing. Once down that road is gonna be enough as it is while being cradled in a seat
Meemaw? Do you want some Call duck eggs? They are laying, and I don't want to watch all my grandchildren die in their eggs, so I thought I could send you some to hatch so I can see how cute they are at your house. I can slip a goose egg or seven in there too. And some bubblegum face ducks.
If those are muscovies, I'll have to add those to my next order if these ones do as well as I hope.

Hopefully, they do that. My PO was supposed to hold them and didn't. I wrote hold on Jacin's box. I should have asked the rest of you. I'm sorry. Jaws mentioned it specifically, or I'd have asked. I'll have to make a little form that buyers can fill out with their address and billing info and stuff, and that way I've got that and all the special requests in one place. lol
The lady down there knows I'm a chicken nut, lol, she's held 3 shipments for me this year, so I'm not worried about it.

I gotta find my candler now, my phone light sucks for my greenish eggs, probably won't be much better on these ones.

Best goal in my mind is to have them in an incubator for 14 days or so and then give them to a broody so I don't have to care for them, but with my luck, I should probably just keep them as brooder babies and hope integration goes well

Did we think that was going to turn out differently?

If these eggs show up all in one piece and people get chicks out of them I can take step by step pictures and video myself packing the boxes and host a seminar for Moony and others.

I can do calls for sure. What colors do you have again? I'd be a PITA and have you separate them for breeding.

I'll have to think about the others. I'd love them, but am not setup for them. My addition is supposed to be for breeding pens for the calls.

They are. They aren’t laying well yet though.

They are a pale blue. Easy to candle.

Good Luck Charlie Idk GIF

Calls. That’s what. Lol There should be Fawn and Blue Bibbed. And one mix and one Butterscotch.

The first Fairy Tail Farms eggs are being shipped today. :)

@JacinLarkwell @Auntiejessi3 @AMM10 - It's been twenty years since I've shipped eggs, but I used the method I did back then. Each egg is wrapped in bubble wrap and secured with tape. A sheet of bubble wrap and a layer of packing peanuts goes into a medium mailing box. The eggs are placed on top of the popcorn, covered with popcorn, another sheet of bubble wrap and taped up. The medium box is then wrapped in bubble wrap. Bubble wrap and popcorn go onto the bottom of a large mailing box, and the bubble-wrapped medium box goes inside. Popcorn is packed around it, and bubble wrap goes on top, and then it is taped up. (Except someone is missing their top sheet of bubble wrap. 😅 It was on the counter when I got done. My roommate was talking to me and asking questions and trying to "help," so I just wanted the box taped up so they'd stop helping and forgot that top sheet. lol)

I've never had issues shipping the eggs like this before. Please let me know how they do when they arrive. Feel free to take pictures of the box and the process as you unwrap them. Feel free to curse me while you're trying to get through all the tape and bubble wrap. I'd rather you be pissed off than have an egg on your face. :) Fertility has been good, and feel free to use this thread for any updates.

If something is really wrong and you actually want to cuss me out, send me a pm or a text. lol

I'm mailing them in less than an hour and will get you all your tracking numbers through pm.
Thank you, @ColtHandorf! :love
