Meh. If they are that dumb, I'm not a proponent of reverse Darwinism...survival of the most idiotic. Still, I've never had one get stuck. Not that there is any room for them to get a leg under it with the grippy shelf liner I use.
No, and these were bantams too, so that might have been part of how they were able to do it

I had 5 eggs left in the incubator…3 BBS and 2 Chocolate. I took out one of the BBS eggs that had quit for sure and the chocolate eggs looked like they had quit as well but I left them in there just in case. I’m only expecting the 2 BBS to hatch.
And no…I didn’t move my eggs or jostle them around at all aside from taking them out to candle 3 times during the whole incubation period. I don’t know if the humidity/temp was off or if someone messed with them while I was gone but yeah :(

I hatch Seramas in mine. The last one that hatched was in there for 48 hours. But it is what it is.

I think the shipping was just hard on the eggs. I'll candle the ones from you and see what they look like tonight.

It's bedtime again

But look! Not the one I swear was moving earlier, but it's definitely chirping

One or two Cornish pips, still the one araucana. But it's made some progress since last time too. Hoping for more pips before I go to work tomorrow since I want as many as possible ti give to Cheese at once in case she gets off the nest then.

Of course, if they all look really similar colorwise, I can probably add a straggler or two a little later.

Crow and one of Cheese's daughters have been brooding a few days as well. Crow is usually great for babies, but she's so small she can really only fit 3 or 4 safely most times so they're a last resort for fostering. I wish I still had my Japanese bantam, she would have taken these all with no worries
