Fall Dumped Ducklings. Not a Recipe!

Especially the girl! - She is permanently talking "Duck! Duck!"
I will keep them outside for a little longer this evening, the younglings can still not decide where to sleep.

Just for 1½ hours, while i was running back and forth between the inside and outside kitchen cooking dinner. No predator dares to take on the crazy German!

That was funny! Prepared the supper bowl for the ducks and went outside so that Nona, Pompom, Earthquack and Blanca could taste it. - The Ducknagers were standing a bit away, just watching the show.
Then i said "Alle Enten gehen jetzt schlafen!" [All ducks go to sleep now!] and all grown ups turned around to walk towards the house. The ducknagers looked, started to walk to the duck house then turned around and ran towards their home. Halfway they stopped and started a discussion - quack quaaak, peep peeep! Quack! Rasp! Rasp! Peeps!
Two steps in the direction duck-house, two steps back, two steps…
In the end i had to herd them back into the Vacation Home where they sleep tonight. Tomorrow i will remove the fence around their run, so that everybody can roam free as they like and after a full day together with the flock they may just walk into the duck house with the others in the evening.
And if not they can sleep another night seperate…
All in all it went very well so far.
But four drakes! The neighbors had a real bad hand when choosing the eggs.
Now i'm down to 2.22 ducks per drake.
