Falling Down Heights, my daily life

That's about it for now. Hope everyone is doing well in this crazy weather. Someone get Mother Nature some estrogen!
Thanks for the update Wind! ❤️ Hopefully your weather smooths out soon. We've had some nice cool temps this past week, even some rain. Although summer is about to burst out of the gates later this week with roasting temps!

Take care of yourself and your critters Wind!! ❤️

Sky yesterday morning from the wild fire smoke out west - heading your way.

Makes for awesome sunrises - this was about 6:30 am - a big red ball in the sky!

Lost two young pullets to what I'm 99% sure was coccidia, considering how much rain we've had here. They were about 3-4 months old.
Sorry to hear that. Hope everyone else is doing okay! Also dealing with coccidiosis here. Never had it in my flock before. This wet spring is a nightmare.

In a foul mood today. No, TwoCrows, not *fowl*.
Not having any power is getting to me.

Found a home for my trio of cochin banties. Friend who is watching my chicks will take them.

Probably getting out of the quail. Their protein needs are too high, especially since the feed supplier decided in all their 'wisdom' to combine the duckling starter and non-medicated chick starter into one product, and lowered the protein level to just 20% (from 22%). The only thing they have otherwise is turkey starter at 28%, but only in medicated. I was pushing it at 22%, and I'm not willing to go any lower. So, so much for that.

Otherwise, critters are doing okay. The three ducklings are growing fast. So are the bunnies.

I just want a normal life again!
